Recent Car Innovations Everyone Should Be Thankful For

So as your relaxing today from stuffing your face full of turkey give thanks to some automobile innovations everyone loves. We decided to make a list for Thanksgiving this year because…Ok I’ll just spit it out. We love automobiles. One of the best inventions in the last while which has become more and more popular are heated seats. 
Why are we so thankful for these car innovations? Well its real simple. No one likes to have a cold tush on the way home from Grandma’s after stuffing our faces all day. Grandma makes the best dressing in the world, yet she can’t keep our seats warm. Well there were a couple times I got in trouble and the paddle said “heat for the seat”, no comparison folks. We are from Florida so this feature only comes into play a couple times a year, or whenever we drive up north. It is definitely worth it. Nothing says I love you like a warm seat to sit on during an icy cold day.
Another great innovation we should be thankful for is the automatic start. What once used to be available only to the aftermarket parts crowd is now coming with factory vehicles. The Chevy HHR has automatic start which works great and at a good range. Most people think that this is overkill. Well guess what? How do you think our seat warmers are going to be so toasty when we jump in the car? That’s right! They start warming up when we start the car from our office, bed, mall…you get the point. The automatic start is definitely something that can be used in both the winter and summer. Nothing says thankful better than an icy cold car when it’s 105 degrees outside. Having the ac blasting as I walk to the car is very enjoyable.
These are two of the bigger creature comfort innovations everyone should be thankful for. Something that is a little more practical is the GPS. Not sure how many times the GPS has saved my butt. It is one of the best car innovations everyone is thankful for these days. GPS is on almost anything and the good units are accurate to within a couple of feet. The U.S. military developed this technology, which eventually made it down to consumers. Online map services such as Mapquest, can really mess you up sometimes. Most standalone GPS units have been shown to be a little more accurate. The only drawback is most of them you have to update the maps. People the maps are not up to date then neither will your directions be. Not only do GPS units give us direction but they can tell us good places to eat, the traffic, weather, and find us an atm. This one of the items that we should be most thankful for today. Its innovation is paving the way for all kinds of cool applications. Just look at the Iphone. There are thousands of different applications that use your GPS. Although this is a great car innovation you must make sure your GPS doesn’t give you away when you’re not wanting it to.
Use any of these top 3 car innovations and your life will be so much easier. Quit trying to guess where to go with a cold butt as you run to a car that isn’t running.
